Tears of joy standing in the courtyard

Standing in the vast courtyard of Badshahi Mosque at sunset, with the four minarets glowing in golden light, I was overwhelmed. The sheer scale, beauty, and spiritual power of this place is indescribable. A must in every Pakistani's lifetime.

Architecture that leaves you speechless

The red sandstone corridors, the white marble domes, the intricate calligraphy — every detail is perfect. Visit at night when it is illuminated — truly spectacular. One of the greatest buildings in the world.

The sacred relics museum is a gem

Most people miss the small museum inside that houses relics of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ including hair strands and sandals. Incredibly moving. The mosque itself is flawlessly maintained by the government.
