The planet's most untouched landscape

Deosai feels like standing on the roof of the world. Brown bears grazing, wildflowers everywhere, and a lake that mirrors the sky. I camped overnight at 4,100m — the stars were SO close I thought I could touch them.

Pakistan's ultimate wildlife experience

Saw three Himalayan Brown Bears at dawn from 100 metres. My heart was pounding. The wildflowers in July are a rainbow on the ground. This is a genuine wilderness — completely unspoilt.

Requires 4WD and good planning

The road from Skardu is rough — definitely need a jeep. Altitude sickness can be real at 4,100m. Drink lots of water, go slow. But the experience is completely worth the effort.
