Nature in the heart of the capital
Islamabad is blessed to have Margalla Hills as its backdrop. Trail 3 is perfect — challenging enough to be interesting but accessible to families. Monkeys are a constant companion. Dawn bird watching is extraordinary — over 20 species in one morning.

Best urban nature escape in Pakistan
Half an hour from the city centre, you are in dense forest. The trails are well-marked and safe. Pir Sohawa at sunset for a meal and panoramic views is a classic Islamabad experience.
