Walking through 4,500 years of history

Standing at the Great Bath of Mohenjo-daro, I felt completely awestruck. This was a fully functioning city with running water and sewage when Europe was still in the Stone Age. The site is incredibly evocative and the museum excellent. A must for any history lover.

Extraordinary but requires effort to reach

Getting to Mohenjo-daro is not easy — best to fly from Karachi to the local airport (45 min). But the site itself is remarkable. Hire a guide — without context the ruins look like bricks. With context they are mind-blowing.
