Kalam is the crown jewel of Swat Valley, situated at 2,100 metres in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Often called the "Switzerland of Pakistan," Kalam is surrounded by snow-capped peaks, dense forests of pine and deodar, the emerald Swat River, and pristine alpine lakes including Mahodand, Ushu, and Spin Khwar.
